FOUR FILAMENTS · TWO PHOTOS
Quick Calibration Print
A slim 200 × 18 × 10 mm print with 3 mm rounded corners and rounded top and bottom edges. Both long sides and the top use the same two rows of 51 recipe positions. There are no printed orientation markers.
The supplied iDither logo is centered on both short end walls as an aspect-preserving, wall-dithered native40 relief. The dot and stem of the i have one empty layer between them, and the i and D have one wall-width gap. It is kept inside the flat end-wall area with clearance from the rounded corners.
Choose your four filament colors below before downloading. The file includes those colors in slots F1–F4. Open it as a project in Snapmaker Orca and choose matching filament profiles. Keep the saved size, layer height, wall widths and recipe definitions. The supplied project uses PLA on a Snapmaker U1 with 0.4 mm nozzles; your compatible filament profiles can change its estimate.
If your palette includes black or a dark neutral and no white, the walls and infill behind the samples use the filament closest to white. If it includes white or an off-white and no black, they use the filament closest to black. The selection uses Oklab distance across your four colors. With both or neither, the saved feature filament stays selected. This backing can affect translucent filament appearance; create a new calibration for the colors and settings you print.

Complete recipe periods on both surfaces
Each long side has 51 columns and two rows. Every wall sample measures a 2.60 × 4.00 mm interior crop, covering all forty native layer phases in the regular 0.10 mm schedule after the 0.20 mm first layer. Two rows retain complete periods without increasing the 10 mm body height. Three rows at this layer height would lose complete cycles.
The 90 distinct legacy wall conditions retain their exact words, counts and relative phases. Twelve additional directed conditions use a pure outer wall over an AAABB inner pattern, extending the gradients for all six filament pairs in both directions. The set includes all sixteen pure outer/inner combinations, independent wall phases, and selected three- and four-filament conditions. It is a detailed finite sample set, not an exhaustive measurement of every possible word.
Mixed outer words allow at most two consecutive layers of any physical filament; mixed inner words allow three. The repeat seam counts. Pure walls are exempt, so a pure outer A over pure inner B is valid. Same-layer outer/inner combinations are unrestricted. The translucent outer layer can reveal the more relaxed inner gradients.
Each of the 102 top samples covers a complete rotated 5 × 8 grid of 0.60 mm cells (14.40 mm²). The colored top modifiers use rectilinear infill and the project’s Top surface · Line width = 0.30 mm. The upper and lower colored layers are at 9.90–10.00 and 9.80–9.90 mm, above two dense foundation layers. These let the extra internal bridge layer finish below the measured colors. Top observations are stored separately from the wall responses currently used for model assignment.
Take exactly two photos
- Take one photo directly above the top, then one of either long side. Both long sides contain the same complete set. The short ends and underside are not measurement faces.
- Show the whole face against a plain contrasting background. Crop excess background so the long edge is at least 1500 pixels across after upload. Keep the camera approximately perpendicular.
- Use diffuse, even light without glare. Keep lighting, exposure and white balance consistent across both photos.
- In Calibrate, select which photo is the top and which is the long side. Adjust the four corner dots to the straight-edge intersections across the rounded corners. Match the straightened recipe order to the reference, using the flip and rotation controls when needed, and check both review boxes.
The browser tries all four rotations and both mirror directions against the known recipe sequence and your selected filament colors. Review the proposed crop and correct it when the image is ambiguous; no printed orientation markers are required.

Your original photos and calibration are stored privately on the server. Keep the downloaded .iDither reference to restore it on another device. Previous prism files and photo guide remain available for existing prints.
The editable project passed the Performance CLI slice and physical-tool path audit. Printed optical response, real-camera registration and actual printer elapsed time still require a physical print.
